A Woman's Work
I tried to start a blog with a fellow law school hottie/law clerk earlier this summer. We were going to call it, "He said, She said," we were going to debate "hot" issues. Grand plans! It didn't really work out though b/c said hottie left for his two week military stint and then lost interest. Figures! Anyhow I am stealing the following post from the site - this happened this summer...
I got in the elevator yesterday to go home from work. I work on the 16th floor. A man and a woman got in the elevator on the 11th floor. I started chatting with them. We were joking about the computer that she had rolled onto the elevator - the usual stuff. Commenting about how she was "stealing" it and no one said anything. Yadda, yadda, yadda. Then, the hammer came down: the man looked at me and said, "Why do all the secretaries from the 16th floor always look so well rested?" Hmmm... because I am a woman is that all I could possibly be? My response, "I don’t know why they always look so well rested, I am not a secretary. I am in law school and took the summer off from classes and have been getting a great deal of sleep lately." Should women just be barefoot and pregnant? Is that all we can do? Is that really what men want?

Put that man back in the cave! I've worked with guys like that, I think it's a 'twisted father/weak mother' thing.
