The Drink and My Phone

Is it normal that I was drunk and lost my phone in "The Drink" (aka Lake Erie) last weekend and I still haven't gotten another one. Labor Day did not do me well this year - or it did me really well depending on how you look at it. At least I got some boating and drinking in. I really don't like talking on the phone so it's not a huge issue in and of itself. There are a whole host of other issues that go along with losing your phone. I don't have a hardwired phone so I can't get in touch with anyone or make plans. All my friends numbers were stored in my phone so now I don't know anyone's phone number so even if I had a phone I couldn't call them. There are so many people stored in my phone that I probably will never speak to again, but what if I wanted to speak to them? I kept many numbers in my phone so that I wouldn't answer the call. When I get my new phone I am going to have to answer all the calls, I am not sure I am prepared for that. It is saving me from that embarrassing problem of drunk dialing, however.
